Pastor Melissa Scott can be seen weeknights on Direct TV and Dish Network. On May 27th her program will move to Channel 216 on Dish Network.

Pastor Melissa Scott's church is located at 933 S. Broadway in downtown Los Angeles in the historic United Artists Building originally constructed in the 1920's by Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and Mary Pickford.

The architecture is Spanish Baroque and the building is designed after Cathedrals in Spain which the original founder fell in love with on their trips to Europe.

The United Artists Building now houses the largest collection of ancient Bibles and manuscripts in private hands and is open for Bible tours on many Sunday mornings immediately following Sunday Service.

Pastor Melissa Scott begins teaching promptly at 11am so you must call beforehand to make a reservation for a pass. Passes are free, you just need to call 1-800-338-3030 with your name, phone number and address and your passes will be mailed to you (if you call by Wednesday). If you call later than that during the week you can pick your passes up at the window.

Parking and child care are provided free. Ushers monitor the parking lot (dressed in business suits) and the parking there is safe. They are standing in front of the parking lots directing traffic on both sides of the street on Broadway.

It is definitely worth seeing. The inside Baroque architecture and design elements have been restored to their original luster and if you like historic architecture and ancient artifacts, the United Artists Building is one of the historic theaters in downtown you don't want to miss.

Pastor Melissa Scott's congregation is one of the few Protestant gatherings downtown, and her style is very university-like. A little singing at the beginning and end of service, but not a lot of hoopla or emotional fanfare. More for the intellectual. Everything is run very professionally and it's easy to remain incognito and keep your personal space and privacy intact. People are friendly enough if you want to chat after service, but no one will approach you or try enlist you to come back. It's more individual choice there.
