The University of Nottingham received a Royal Charter to be a University in 1948. It is a relatively young and large university (roughly 33,000 students), with a main campus in Nottingham plus two recently established campuses in China and Malaysia. The AllAboutUni.com website allows students and alumni to upload student reviews concerning their student experience. The survey is web-based and covers 67 questions on the following categories: campus, university facilities, library, housing, dining, teaching, student experience and the city. Responses are from 0 (poor) to 10 (excellent), and there is also a question on whether the person would want to study at the university again. There are currently 5 student reviews for the University of Nottingham (14 June 2009). Due to the small number of responses, it is difficult to make definite conclusions. However, a general comment can be made and this text presents the initial findings for the University of Nottingham. The results are high compared to all university (the University of Nottingham is ranked 24th out of 422 universities) and compared to other universities in the United Kingdom (8th out of 43). In October 2009 AllAboutUni.com published a report about the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the score was 5.7 out of 10 (based on 5 reviews). In June 2009 there were 9 reviews for the LSE and the score remained unchanged (5.7 out of 10) thus confirming the initial results. AllAboutUni.com would like to encourage visitors to review their alma mater so that we can present more university reviews and make international comparisons. John Paget
