When we think of globalization it’s easy to visualize a world that works together, interacts, trades and governs internationally. Some might even assume it’s the eventual outcome of our modern age, to become one world order working and trading together. Yet, the process of globalization is far from over, if indeed it has a natural ending and we really don‘t know it‘s final outcome. Figuring out where this process is taking us and what it all means appeals to one researcher, Dr. Jarrod Wiener.
Dr. Wiener has devoted much time and research to the concept of globalization in books, scholarly articles and the field of education. Wiener became intrigued by international relations and gained his BA in Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island and later his MA in International Relations at the University of Kent. He also furthered his education with a PhD in International Relations and an LLM in International, Commercial and European Law from the Kent Law School. His educational career is uniquely suited to the study of globalization.
Through his research, resulting in numerous books and scholarly articles, Dr. Jarrod Wiener shed light on the correlation between domestic policy-making and global competition. He also noted a divide between the academic and professional communities when it came to international concerns. Such revelations went on to influence many political and legal processes, and even encouraged Dr. Wiener to develop several Master's degree programs designed to bridge this gap between education and the professional world. His former students populate international organizations, and governments around the world.
Globalization and international relations are a cornerstone in the many programs designed and created by Dr. Wiener. He’s designed 11 MA programs, 3 PhD Programs, and helped create 25 University graduate and undergraduate courses in or related to these fields. The MA program in Political Strategy and Communication at the Brussels School of International Studies is just one example of Dr. Wiener’s efforts to combine the knowledge of seasoned professionals teaching in the classroom with the intellectual benefits of a university education.
His appreciation of global processes, and ways to capitalize on international opportunities, led him to naturally to the world of education globalization. As CEO of MXG International, Dr Jarrod Wiener continues to work with academic institutions to develop an internationally competitive stance to triumph in competition with global universities.
Through regular advances in technology and changes in international policy the world is growing more interconnected each day. It can’t be denied that a new way of doing business and politics has emerged. Capitalizing on it strategically is where the smart money is. Understanding the interplay between the local and the global, and the academic and practitioner`s role in a rapidly changing environment is the key to success, and it is one that many seek out Dr. Jarrod Wiener to help unlock. articlerich |
